Podcast Blog

1.  What tools and techniques did you use to create your podcast?

I used GarageBand and iphoto to create my podcast.
2.  How could you use a project like this in other classes?
To do a simple verbal project or a big project reviewing something is something I could use it for in other clases.
3.  In the “real world”, how could podcast projects be used (In what careers/businesses, etc.)?
They could be used for a critic, a journalist, a big business man/women to present ideas in the real world.
4.  What part of the assignment was easy for you?   What was difficult?
Writing about the movie was easy for me.
5.  What part of the directions would you like to clarify?

I'd like to clarify that you needed 5 jingles or sound effects and it works best to import pictures on iphoto.

story board project

2. State the TOPIC your team chose and TELL WHY you, as a group, decided to explore it. [3 pts]
Literature Class
Veronica, Roy and I chose literature class. We chose this because we figure it's a good class to have knowledge about for future freshman. They need to know that if they're an average student they should just go into regular literature but if they're above average they can go into honors literature and many other things about literature class. It was interesting to learn how to use keynote to compose the project too. Overall it was a very helpful to look into the literature class more and for future PND students.
3. What different images did you include in your storyboard & why did you chose them. [3 pts.]
We used pictures of books and other forms of literature because it tied in well to our literature project.
4. What tools of collaboration helped you succeed as a team?  [2 pts.]
We all worked together in keynote to get information and special effects.
5. Describe HOW storyboarding helped you develop the idea for your movie.
  [10 pts.]
It gave me a templeate and ideas to make a great movie.

iphoto project

1. Which search terms did you use to find images (for the letters of your name and the images that describe you) and why?
I used google images and typed in alphabet photography then the letter I wanted and it came up and I used the photos in my iphoto library.I used this because it was reliable and the letter/ picture I wanted always showed up.

2. What skills did you use/learn in this project?
How to make a slideshow out of iphoto and how to export it.

3. Describe how you might use these skills and apply them to a real-world situation.
If I had to do a future project like this or something like it for a job I would already know how to do it.
4. This was a more creative project than our first 2. Did you prefer it or the more cut and dry assignments in Word and Excel?
I preferred this project because it wasn't as boring as just writing in Word and Excel. It was fun finding the pictures and picking out the music to go with them.

M&M Project Re-Do Blog

On the M&M project I had used my head to count the numbers instead of  using the auto sum. I had to highlight the numbers and push the auto sum button to get it right. I then made the pie chart to show my results. I had to go back and label all the portions of the pie chart with the corrosponing colors. At first I messed up the chart by putting the total into the pie chart instead of the average. Now, the average is in my pie chart and the numbers are labeled in my pie chat and they are corresponding to the colors. My M&M project is much more accurate now that I've used auto sum.
